ABOUT F.E.D

Frantz Eddy Daniel Jr was born and raised in Port-au-Prince Haiti. He began studying the Piano at the age of six and since then, began his love for music. After having performed concerts in his hometown and many cities of the United States, F.E.D is proud to finally present his music to the public of New York. He will be giving his first major performance in this incredible city on Saturday December 29th 2007 at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center.

His music mixes many different genres such as New Age, Jazz, Classical, Dance, Haitian Folk and Konpa, and many other World influences to create a unique emotional experience. Frantz Eddy also conveys his emotions and feelings to the listener through an intentional blend of electronic and acoustic instruments. That is why his music touches hearts and souls of people of all ages, cultures, and diverse musical backgrounds. For this incredible celebration, he will be performing with musicians from around the world such as percussionist Markus Schwartz, Arthur Sadowsky on bass, drummer Andy Blanco and some of the finest Haitian musicians such as childhood friends James Racine on violin, Jean Hevert Figaro on violin, Olivier Philippe Auguste on viola, Guy Adler Michel on cello and many more.

Some of Frantz Eddy’s most memorable performances include four concerts as a soloist with The Holy Trinity Orchestra in Haiti, FED AND FRIENDS LIVE IN FLORIDA, and NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STARS in Louisville Kentucky. In March 2005 he won first place in The CUNY WIDE TALENT SHOW held here in New York City. In August 2006, Frantz Eddy and his band won 2 gold medals and 2 industry awards representing Haiti at the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF PERFORMING ARTS in Hollywood California, then receiving for his country the highest title of 2006 World Champions in the Instrumental Open and Original Works categories. On December 20th 2006, Frantz Eddy was also awarded THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AWARD in the best composition category and is featured on the Music Aid Awards CD.
